Yes figuring out where the BADI lives can be a problem. However the other issue is whether your logic is really approriate for that layer in the first place. There a lot of bad webclient customizations with logic that really doesn't belong in UI layer, or BOL layer at all. The worst part is that if you then decide to expose your CRM system via mobile, or Fiori, you lose all your business logic or have to recode it.
After experiencing the pain of PCUI -> Webclient transition, I have always made it a point to not put business logic in the webclient when possible. Business logic means validation rules, default values, etc. Things like drop-down lists aren't business logic, but rather "user-interface". That being said however BOL is perfectly fine for use an external API layer. In fact you can even consume BOL objects via gateway 
.
Yeah I'm weird about finding BADI's as I just read code 
to find what I need.

Hi there,
It is definitely possible. You will need a very good PI consultant but it is possible. The LOGSYS and company code (or the document owner potentially) will be your differentiator if you are using two SAP systems. If one of them is a non-SAP environment, you can use document types as well for example.

I believe you'll have to cast the InfoObject as an IWebi instead of an IReport - IReport is specifically for Crystal reports. You should have access to similar properties - in particular the ISchedulingInfo - from IWebi.

Have you thought about how you will deal with the other Master data and customizing data coming from different ERP systems .. what about the Business documents in SAP CLM dont they need to be all accessible to all the users..
If you plan to integrate with mulitple ECC backends you can try to accomplish this by changes in the PI and managing the distributions to ECC systems.. Using the contexts may not be the best way..

we had same issue where in we have restarted only sap and sapccm4x agent was not started since after sap restart.
we have followed below proceedure to start the sapccm4x agent.
this is the solution
sapccm4x pf=/sapmnt/<SID>/profile/<instance_profile> -initshm - to clear the shared memory
sapccm4x -DCCMS pf=/sapmnt/<SID>/profile/<instance_profile> - to start the agent

You need to assign the role type to 'Project type'.This can done either by creating new role types or use existing standard role types. In both the cases, customisation are to be carried in the following IMG path
SPRO-->SAP IMG-->SAP Portfolio & Project Mgmt.-->Project Management-->Structure-->Define Project Type.
Select a project type & click on 'Project role types for project type' in left hand navigation to assign role types to project type.
And new role types can created in the following IMG path.
SPRO-->SAP IMG-->SAP Portfolio & Project Mgmt.-->Project Management-->Resource Management-->Basic Settings for roles-->Define role types.

Moazzam and Lakshmipathi are right. I believe somebody has told you about it but it's related with MM (MIRO: please, see SAP Note 1353125 - AC interface: Document split in FI for incoming invoices).
Other question is create the FI document using a BAPI from an userexit. Remember to call it from a funcion module with the option IN UPDATE TASK. Do it as a job, ie: you can use the proper sequence of function modules, please, see this post http://scn.sap.com/thread/2019684). See SAP Note 306504 - Collective note: BAPIs for the AC interface.

Sure - if these are Single Cycle plans, change the Cycle Unit to "Month" instead of "Year" and reschedule.
If these are Strategy plans, update the Maintenance Packages in the Strategy, if required, and in the relevant Task Lists attached to your plans.
Consider if you have had any Orders created in anvance and the new schedule, you might want to restart the plans in IP10.

We would like to do the following modification for the Data- and Log-Backups in DB13:
instead of:
"Execution of the Command DBMCLI On Host <hostname>
Parameter:
"-d SS1 -n <hostname> -uUTL -tpi <SID> -tpp no_longer_used -tpc <SID> backup_start CVBackup_full RECOVERY DATA AUTOIGNORE" "
we would like to execute:
"Execution of the Command through SQL-Connection On Host <hostname>
backup_start CVBackup_full RECOVERY DATA AUTOIGNORE"
for the Data-Backups and the same for the Log-Backups.
We have MaxDB database 7.8.02 Build 026-121-243-456.
Do you have an idea where can we do this configuration?
