Are you looking at IT 8 after pressing enter in PA30 or PA20? Or are you displaying the person's IT 8 in SE16?

If the w/t's characteristics

a)allows over-writing, hen in IT 8 you can enter an amt, and save.  In that case, the indirect valuation from T510 does not happen and the indicator in IT 8 disappears.  In this case, SE16 display also shows the amt you entered.

If the w/t

b)does not allow over-writing, then the IT 8 will get the amt from position if T510 does not have an entry; else from T510.   In this case, after saving the IT 8, it should show the amt from one of these tables. and the IT 8 indirect valuation indicator also shows as 'I'

In this case SE16 display will show the w/t amt as blank.

 

In payroll, P0008 function uses the T510, if amt has not been entered in IT 8 for indirectly valued w/t.

I have had a very similar Issue.  Identical select works OK in our NOT upgraded system (D04) but NO Longer in our upgraded system (P03):

  • Solution: the L_SEL_COND string can no longer have an '.' at end of the string
  • See also Note 1810104 Release change from 7.0, EhP3 or from 7.3, EhP1 to 7.40 => Open SQL

I remarked that in the exception class CX_SY_DYNAMIC_OSQL_SYNTAX a new Text was introduced 'SQL_PARSER_ERROR' but can't really find any explanation.

Hello Maria,

 

In our business scenario material at times is issued to one individual but can be borrowed by another individual amidst themselves. It's only when the left-over material is logged back in SAP when the problem occurs, hence Unloading point is being asked to be made mandatory only when material is being logged back in so that we know who actually used the material and not while being issued.

 

Please guide.

Hello Miguel,

 

I am new to basis. I was trying to run the Maintenance optimizer to update patches for solution manager 7.1 . But the MOPZ gives Timeout at "Select OS/DB-Dependent Files" . I Tried implementing the SAP note 0001940845 but the problem still persists. I was going through this thread and found your reply of activating BC Sets. While i was activating the BC sets it gave me the below popup

I am not sure where it would effect if u select "Overwrite All Data" and select Expert Mode. Could you please guide me in this.

Hello All,

 

This solution does not work for all environments, the property 'smdagent.os.user' should be used only in especial cases. Do not use this property unless you know exactly what you are doing.

 

The property smdagent.os.user forces the SMDAgent applications to use the OS user specified in its value. The SMDAgent OS user must not be changed, the SMDAgent needs to use the default <sid>adm and/or SAPService<sid> (in case of Windows) to run.

Hi Raghuram,

 

As ASP.NET is used for server side scripting and Open UI5 is used for client side scripting, you can use both at the same time. You can see here an introduction for using jQuery (which is the basis of SAP UI5) with ASP.NET.

 

The IDE doesn't matter much. The Eclipse plugin is natively supported by SAP. But there exist a third party plugin for Visual Studio as well. But you can also write Open UI5 applications in Notepad, Webstorm or any other IDE available. When using Microsoft Technologies, Visual Studio might be the best option.

LSMW - Field already in use

Hi experts

 

I am creating an LSMW for TCode FBB1 (entering some transactions in group currency only to correct some foreign currency rate related errors). The problem I am facing is when I go to step 3 (Maintain Source Fields) and try to complete this step, it gives me errors for those fields which are repeating

for example (Name 'NEWBS' already in use. Choose another name). This is so because I have some fields like Posting Keys, GL account and Amount on the debit side as well as the credit side and it is marking the credit side items as "already in use" because these are also appearing on the debit side.

 

Can I get some guidance on how to deal with this issue. I explored SCN before posting this question and some people have suggested to change the field name. I want to know exactly in which step I should change the field name appearing for the second time and how.

 

Any comments/ suggestions would be greatly helpful.

Well, for the case presented by the OT the cartesian join does not look sensible. So it at least requires an explanation why this should be like this.

Combining tables based on no common field or condition (the cross join/cartesian join) is something that does not make sense in a normalized data model.

 

Using cartesian joins to blow up result sets is a technique that does have it's limitation. For use cases like disaggregation - like the one you mentioned - SAP HANAs planning engine uses more efficient algorithms than incorporating it into the SQL statement.

Similarly for time series, there are procedures available for disaggregation of time series data.

 

Hints, and this is my personal opinion, are often workarounds that should help out when the original problem is located somewhere else (e.g. misunderstanding of the data, the way SQL works, or what the used DB engine does with queries). And when applied, those hints are often poorly understood and cannot later on be managed properly (e.g. when the data or the DB engine changes).

 

Coming back to your case I think it does not make sense to mix up your situation and the one presented by the OP. So, rather open a thread on your own, providing the information required to understand what's happening in your case.

I'm having an intermittent issue with reports disappearing from folders and then returning. We are running three BO 4.1 servers in a cluster behind an F5 load balancer. It feels like this is a cluster issue, but I've checked everything that I can think of.

Thanks Tammy for the response. I have attached the screenshot for the Onselect of Crosstab.

 

Initially when I run the application first time it gives me a Overall view with the Text being displayed as Overall (since I hard coded this value on Startup)as in the previous screenshot. Then when I do drill down across various rows in the crosstab the chart and the textbox gets changed perfectly.


I have two dimensions which gets combined and displays in the Text box and works fine when I select a row of crosstab(screenshot below) The issue starts When I click again on the same row it shows ALL_MEMBERS in the textbox as in my previous screenshot.


I tried with another text box just to implcitly have the Overall Amt being displayed but still the ALL_MEMBERS keeps appearing in the textbox.crosstab-onselect code for textbox.PNG

Please check if the deployed com.sap.aii.adapter.lib.sda is consistent - for example, if libraries that you assembed, are correctly described in the descriptor provider.xml. In order to simplify the process of assembly of com.sap.aii.adapter.lib.sda and automate generation of provider.xml, you may use SDA Maker Tool (see SAP Notes 1028961 and 1987079).

Error message Invalid FF id in GRC 10

Hi Experts,

 

Need your help troubleshooting this error. After our enhancment pack upgrade started facing this issue only in our ECC system.

 

When i try to add a update a owner to a ECC firefighter id I am unable to do so. I selected owner --> selected open after selecting the user I wanted to add more FF ids to --> selected add new entry--> search for FF ids listed --> No entries are getting populated.

 

If I try to update an existing FF id in the owners table I am getting a warning message saying invalid FF id

 

When I run the invalid emergency access user report - all the ECC ff ids are listed with invalid role under status column.

Things i checked:

Connection is successful

Configuration looks good

All FF ids have the role assigned that is defined in parameter 4010

Able to request a ECC ff id

Able to populate FF id logs

Able to update controllers table with FF id updates for ECC

 

Only issue is with the owners table.

 

 

Any ideas on what i can look at?
