SAP HCI error: [CAMEL][IFLOW][CAMEL_CONTEXT_NOT_STARTED] : The CamelContext did not start. Please check the tail log for details.

Hi all,

 

I just enrolled in the SAP HCI participation program. Within this enrollment I received a tutorial to get acquainted with the tool  However, this HCI is build in Eclipse while I tried to build it in the Web UI which causes for a few differences:

 

1) in step 23 it says I would get a pop-up where I can choose the Service Name, Port Name and Operation Name. I didn't get the pop up so I entered them manually which works fine. One difference, I don't get to see the 'p1:' (see screenshot).

Furthermore, I see a warning next to the SOAP connection. When I hoover over it says the "Content Modifier cannot pass XML messages to the SOAP1x receiver. The SOAP 1x receiver supports XML input only". This seems contradicting:

When deploying the integration flow I get the error:

[CAMEL] [IFLOW] [CAMEL_CONTEXT_NOT_STARTED] : The CamelContext did not start. Please check the tail log for details.

 

Does anyone have an idea what might go wrong?

Are there differences in Eclipse and the WebUI of HANA Cloud Integration?

Definitely agree!

 

I'm looking at potentially performing a DB lookup on a local PI table - if this is feasible.  Would prefer this to an external call from PI.

You mean RSRREPDIR-OBJSTAT = INA?

In my experience that is not really a big deal, i would be surprised if that is the root cause. Anyway, this status can be fixed by going to RSRT>Generate Report

While scrolling through some content I found this post. I am sure by now you must have already found an alternative, still, I would like to add the way it worked for me.

Please use this :

Logging issues

Hi there!

 

We have been examining the MC_LOGS table and found a couple of interesting things going on:

 

1. This is probably the easiest one -- Is there a limit on the size of the log stored in the Base64 encrypted LOG_DATA column? We were looking at a couple of the entries with many Warnings and Errors and the log was cut off? Or might this have been because we had exceeded the XML error logging limit and the stream just cut?  Fedya Toslev any thoughts?

 

2. Is there a difference between the data stored in LOG_DATA and JOB_PATH? When we examined the information in these two columns we found that they had different time stamps? You'll see that the database stored version is older than the XML version. Is it that the log file is moved from the database to the file system? As the statistics are different between the two logs, I'm inclined to believe that these are different executions of the job.

Hi Rob,

 

There are several SAP Notes in BRF+ for issue which you have reported.

However you have given a very superficial description of the problem.

 

Search for SAP Notes if you know your scenario, or else post more details so that I can suggest you the relevant Notes.

Hi Renjith,

 

Along with the introduction of BW on HANA (starting with release 7.3) SAP revised its Enterprise Data Warehousing best practice and reference model LSA: it became LSA++. It is streamlined with and optimized for HANA, offers a multitude of new technical features and a shift towards more virtualization and less persistence (i.e. an evolution towards a logical data warehouse). It is therefore also applicable for subsequent releases of BW on HANA, e.g. 7.4 and 7.5 (and any future releases).

we have SAP ECC 7.4. But I couldn't see the link you showed. And /n/opt/vim_analytics didn't worked for me. Is there a missing point, should I activate VIM from somewhere?

Hallo David,

 

 

I have Minisap ABAP AS 7.02. For private learning purposes I need to install the "User Interface Add-On 1.0 for SAP NetWeaver" on my Minisap.

 

I have googled the subject and was able to read that SAP was offering a link to download the needed packages - but that link doesn't work any more.

 

I have no customer ID on the "SAP Marketplace" where one could download the needed packages. Do you know if SAP still offers a trial version? If yes, I would be very happy to have the download link.  What are the possibilites to get this package as a private user?

I received an error regarding multiple error on Hana studio for user.  To tell you honestly I really do not have any idea where to start investigating the issue occured on user. I would like to seek for your assistance on this matter. It's been a month since I've been working as Basis Administrator.

Carry over end results of one column to another

Hi all,

 

I am now creating a BEx Query and need to carry over the results of a calculated key figure "Net Position of Material" to the Restricted Characteristic  "Inventory of Hand" of the next week column (so on for all weeks showing).

 

Any suggestions how this can be done in BEx?

"order ********** for numer of reports generated " where do I go to find these reports ? are they downloaded somewhere ?
