i have learnt SAP ABAP and SAP DS and SAP HANA....my doubt is can i combine ABAP skills and DS skills along with HANA...if i got a job on which platfrom i work is it on sap abap on hana or ds?

I am working in the variant configuration environment, ecc 6.0 where the KMAT material is created as finish goods. I have issue in the quality mgmt.
the case is as under. I want to create the object dependency at the Master Inspection Characteristics (mic) level. I have done following.
- One class characteristics (class type 300) name “Z_segment” having range 100 to 150.this is class chars.
- Master inspection chars. “% Carbon” with class chars. “segment” (Mentioned above) as reference chars.
- Routing for the KMAT material with operation 0010. Where the MIC ‘%carbon”, “%metal “(% metal is plain MIC) are assigned. (I am also maintained this material with inspection point 0130 with no partial lot option)
- I now write the dependency for the MIC (%Carbon), but the dependency option from the top is gyved out.
- suggests me where I am wrong. Suggest way forward to write the object dependency.
- the inspection type is also maintained as insp. by configuration, and insp with task list. but i don't see the editable option in the extra- object dependency -editor, assignment for the characteristics line on the chars. overview of KMAT material routing. pl. guide me.

There are 2 angles to it.
1. If the transferring and receiving cost center belong to same profit center
2. Belong to different PC..
If 1 - when you change the CC on asset, only the future postings get impacted like depreciation or retirements. The APC value and Acum dep remain on old PC only. So if your intention is to transfer APC and Acum dep also, then use Abumn. If you are OK to capture depreciation alone to new CC and PC, just change the CC on asset master
If 2 - change CC on asset master. That's enough
If asset is shared by 2 CC in a month, system won't post dep to both. It will post only to the latest CC on asset master. You can do KB11n after that

problem solved after upgrading UIGIB001 from 0002 to 0003 , SAPUI5 and to 1.16.4 -> 1.16.5 , 1.16.6 . Chrome on MAC continues to be a problem but as we noticed in https://websmp201.sap-ag.de/pam it is not recommended for FIORI on MAC ( even thought worked fine before SP06 upgrade )

I also tried to create multi-source data foundation layer and was able to import data from HANA DB but not from Oracle so I raised a message and response from SAP was "
This is a known issue for Oracle connection and Red Hat Linux. It has
been logged under ADAPT01689633.
This is not reproducible in Bi 4.0 SP08 and for Bi 4.1, it is fixed in
BI 4.1 SP01.7
So please check with SAP once.

I do understand your answer (moreless).
But one thing is, I do know the open quantities in STO’s…. the equivalent to (LIPSD-OFMNG). It is stated in the table EKET. There are 3 Fields for it:
EKET-MENGE
EKET-AMENG
EKET-WEMNG
So actually the program could work with this fields and process them.
But anyway, SAP standard does not provide this functionality as stated in Note 842829.

Screen field contents getting flushed out after dynamic navigation
Hello Experts,
I am facing below problem, please give your suggestion on how to approach and resolve this.
I have done a bespoke development where first i have enhanced a Standard Product Search and Result.
Before showing a Result i am creating ERP Quotation Lean Order at the back ( through BOL) by adding products from search result as items in the Quotation(Requirement is there to show some pricing fields from Quote in on Product Search Result)
After clicking on custom button from Search result user will see the ERP Quotation created at the back and user can play around and save the Quotation.
This Navigation is working perfectly. On Quotation screen i have added a button which takes user to Product Search again and user can follow the same procedure of Product Search-> Choose Products -> click a button -> come to Quotation screen and Save the Quotation.
The Problem that i am facing is when user comes to Quotation Screen this time and try to change the product quantity on item all Quotation fields are getting flushed out. This happens only once after user login. If i repeat these steps then from second time onward this functionality works perfectly.
do you have any suggestions???
