Does User XXXXX have the correct security/rights setup on the DB server to log in?
For my landscape the MS SQL admin had to allow login access from SolMan to the various DB instances; if your DBA reviews the logs in Oracle to verify what SolMan is attempting to access with the user account you are specifying.
Review the following as this SCN member also had similar issues with DB cockpit connections; turned out to be a service pack issue on the application side, but some of the things I mentioned may help fix your issue.

We planned the below architecture for the Information Steward/DS/IPS environment.
1) Server 1 - IPS + DS MC/APS/Server Manager + IS Full product
2) Server 2 - IPS + DS MC/APS/Server Manager + IS Full product
3) Server 3 - DS Job Server 1
3) Server 4 - DS Job Server 2
3) Server 5 - DS Job Server 3
3) Server 6 - DS Job Server 4
All the DS Job servers will point to same repository
All the IS Job servers will point to same repository
All the IPS CMS will point to same repository
To make the DS job servers in clustered mode I will create DS Server Group and include the 4 job servers from 4 servers and 4 job servers will share the same cache space.
IPS by default provides Clustering/Load Balancing when primary and secondary pointing to same CMS DB.
Now my question how the information steward clustering works?
Do we have to perform any configuration to enable IS clustering?
Does IS job servers have any default load balancing algorithm?
If IS has auto load balance mechanism how it will route the requests to DS server group instead of single job server on any server?

There is not much I can add because your conclusions are correct. There is no abort action, so you have to check "if not empty".
I am assuming you don't like the "if not empty" idea because you create the script that works without conditions and then you wanted to add the if condition and you found it not ideal that you had to convert all script actions into conditional actions. What I usually to do, to structure scripts is to create two script buttons. The first one is your script without if, and the second one contains the IF and one conditional action which calls the 2nd script button (push <scriptbuttonid>). Finally, I hide the first button.

Hi there,
I have a question regarding these tables. I noticed that when you are going through the assessments that are configurd (create/change) it's adding entires into the table in the "Adjust Data Retrieval for Appraisals, Evaluations, and Surveys" config. For testing I want to be able to go through In Process and Completed and then delete the appraisals to change configuration on the forms. Right now when I'm defining my forms it says I can't delete anything because the appraisal templates are in use. In addition for testing I want to walk through the whole assessment process to Complete and then reset. I can't figure out a way to do that because I've configured the assessment periods for 1/102013-12/31/2013 (except the IDP). Any suggestions on how to "reset" these assessments? Do you have to adjust the periods in order to get the assessments back to the "Create" In process status?

I'm facing the same problem with getting those errors in the calibration grid except I can see the talents in my grid that have performance and potential values and I have entries in the table T77TMCAESFIELD for risk, derailer (loss) and potential. I'm not sure what CHANGE_NEED is. Is there an OSS to correct this bug (haven't found one yet)?

I am using Enhancement AIST0002. Inside the exit exit_saplaist_003 i am coding and validating Fields Lease Length and Notice Date and Lease Start Date.
But there should be an error message displayed when Notice Date and Lease Start Date difference is more than 99 years.
I am throwing a message for this. But every time the message is thrown the whole screen is disabled which shouldn't be the case. The screen field should be active.
Please guide me on this.

So you understand the reason the system displayed the message you received was because that was in fact the current status of your payroll area. Whenever you see a message concerning the payroll status you should always check your control record first (PA03).

In tx SP01 can you find that spool entry and choose the re-print with options button and do a force print directly to the ARCH printer and see if you can force an entry into TOA01?
And just to cover my bases here, ARCH is not locked? (Your screenshot cut that part out)
Also what access method do you have for ARCH?

Run FTR_EDIT and check the fields 'posting status' and 'posting release' column in the ALV list of
cash flow tab. Maybe it's not flagged for posting and sometimes release is necessary due to customizing.
