Yes it’s true the fields that were mentioned should not affect the release strategy.

But actually it dose effect the release strategy in First scenario.

Example if I have 1000 old purchase orders that I need to close them.

So after I did the mass change 950 were closed successfully without changing the release strategy but the other 50 were also closed but the release strategy was changed. So after the analysis I found out that the 50 purchase order release strategy was reset because the first scenario.
