now it is clear to me.
You can set the status in the ECM Created Branch - call an activity step which calls a method to set th status.
Question is, do you have the ECM number with you (from the Terminating event to the task and then from task, back to the WF)?

SAP PI integration with documentum by ECM
Hello All,
I have a reqmt wherein the file is coming as pdf in a file location. I have to develop a pass thru interface to read the pdf in PI without doing any mapping and pass on to documentum server. I was pondering and browsing through the links regarding this scenario but got only one or two which is not much helpful. I really wanted to understand the ways to integrate this in PI.
File (PDF - File adapter ) ---> PO 7.4 ----> Documentum
IF documentum can integrate using web services, how do I send the pdf file in SOAP receiver ? Any other thoughts ?

Actually I am not having much details and relatively new to payroll. I am as of now supporting something which is totally new for me.
I get this output in INMED function.

I checked /414 it is Exm.under pro.to sec17(2)
In IT0021, I tried maintained "Y" for Other Allowances for child & spouse. Still no result.
Appreciate your support and would be glad for further more support.

I put the folder names back the way they were and I ran the setup program for the 12.5.2 EBF. The setup program recognized that I was trying to install the PBVM on a machine running EAServer as opposed to trying to install Powerbuilder for a developer. But after the installation, the PB Heap Dump summary says:
Sybase PowerBuilder Virtual Machine Runtime Version 11.5.0.2506
So it appears I am back where I started -- that is, running the 11.5 PBVM.
Or maybe just the heap dump summary is messed up. I don't really know. I guess I can run a FileMon trace and see what files are actually being used to run the components.

Good to know you want to get started with SAP.
To let you know SAP has both technical side and functional side. As you have sited your background details, it is more promptly visible that you belong to technical side. Your choices can be very easy to be made with which module you can get started with in SAP.
Below are the following points worth to mention:
1. SAP technical side has ABAP programming which would be of your interest as it is core OOP programming. If you have knowledge in JAVA or C++ it will be good enough to grasp the concepts well.
2. SAP BASIS is more with networking side or say more likely DBA features. It deals with server configuration and maintenance, User creation, maintenance and configuration.
These above two modules that i have listed, its more easy to get started with SAP as a fresher. So be noted: as you dont have any SAP experience, you will be treated as a fresher.
Advantages:
If you get started with SAP and gain experience in it , with all that you have learnt you can abreast other technologies as well with you interest and inclination. From career prospects, there is no stopping anymore as you will constantly grow and keep on leaning.
Challenges:
To get a break into SAP is the biggest challenge ever you will face. And if you are not placed by companies directly from colleges. But people are making their way out and landing into job markets and making it big. So initial hiccups will be there but if you are ready to face and withstand all these challenges , SAP will welcome you with Pomp and Glory.
Differences:
As mentioned earlier SAP has technical and functional sides, both of these have huge differences in themselves. SAP functional side has Sales and Distribution , Financial Accounting, Material Management, Production Planning and many more.
To bring you more interesting fact, SAP also has techno functional module. Which is actually an advanced module. SAP BI/BW which requires both technical and functional knowledge.
Please goggle them to know more about them.
Also if you have interest in developing apps for mobile SAP Mobility can be another interesting module for you. Its growing huge.

Explode Alternate Version of BOM
Hi all,
I had two versions of BOM created for a material which on MRP/MPS run exploded the first version of the same. The problem is i had the first version put to 'Inactive' now and had an MRP/MPS run which obviously i thought would explode the 2nd version of the BOM but it din't.I even tried setting the BOM explosion parameter in MRP 4 view to '1 - BOM selection by explosion date' but even that dint make any difference. Well then when i had the deletion indicator checked for the first BOM version the next MRP/MPS run picked the 2nd version. So is there any settings that i could make other than this deletion flag to have the 2nd version of BOM picked.
Is this something because of the validity?
Version 1's Validity: 10.01.2014 to 31.12.9999
Version 2's Validity: 10.02.2014 to 31.12.9999
I don't have the ECM enabled as well so can't literally change the dates.
Any help is really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You can select all the documents in BKPF table where BSTAT = 'V'
and put the same document number (BELNR) and its fiscal year (GJAHR) in BSEG table and get the required details.
Your issue should get resolved by the above methodology else revert.

Picture below shows where the valuation class is maintained in Material Master (MM02)
We have value 2999 for C2 (Refurbished) and C3 (Defective) and 2301 for New Material.
As suggested you may consult the FI and MM experts.
