I have a very detailed Crystal report that needs changing. I can open the report and modify fields and formulas on the report and it saves fine. When I open the Database Exoert and click edit command, then OK, I am not able to save the report. I did not even make changes to the command. I get the message "Failed to save document.", then "Failed to save database information" and then "Database Connector Error: The specified object was not saved."

 

I am using CR Developer Full Edition, Version 11.5.10.1263.

 

I have tried to make a new connection/updating the datasource and still get the same problem.

SAP is using at many places "identification listings" of different kind. E.g. for hit list, for composition/spec listing, hazard inducer etc.purposes. For DG filling in most cases a different ident listing is used. Now it depends on how do you use SAP. There is a "standard" ident. listing to be used for DG purposes; you need therefore to compare the different ident listings and may be adapt the set up.

 

Any SAP standard is starting with "D_" in customizing (e.g. D_HITLIST etc.):

Hello,

 

We developed a Web DynPro ABAP, say Z_WDA, it has Adobe Interactive Form as UI element with 4 pages, working well, I mean, users are filling the data and submitting well, fine

 

(Pls. note its a Interactive form)

 

But, now our company gave iPads to some users, hence pls. suggest us,

 

1) Does these users can render & submit the form (Z_WDA) as usual? or

 

2) Do I need to make any changes in Z_WDA so that it will be compatible, render & submit the form in their iPads? or

 

3) Users has to change the settings in their iPad?

Webdynpro ABAP is not responsive so the users experience will probably be a bit on the "bad" side.

It should work, since Safari is webkit based, but don't expect them to like it much.

 

I doubt the Adobe Forms will work though.

 

For mobile devices SAPUI5 is the better (more complex) option.

Hi all,

 

Could you please help me with an answer regarding import wizard?

I have to make several transfers of reports and one of these  is more"tricky", I guess, because although the universes are similar, the names are different.

The questions are:
-If it ispossible to deliverreportsin this situation(universes havedifferent names)
-If there is anyobstacle, something specialto do(I think I have toopen theuniverse in the destination environment and to thepropertiestowritethat the universeis called as in the source environment or revers, modify the properties in the source universe.

my problem is we are doing testing in sandbox, thus can't transport, thus can't be released

 

Can't you create/get a test transport ?? It is not required to release the transport to set release status of a business object.

I think I can add variables in the SO10 text then replace the variables as described here:How to replace a variable in SO10.

 

But then there is another requirement to have a different footer on the introductory text depending on the company code from which the document is created for. I plan to store the footer texts in SO10 standard texts as well. Would it be possible to append this to the first text to complete the introductory text that is required?

When a user validates payroll for a given Payroll Accounting Area, no changes are permitted to Master Data, so no Absences can be added when payroll is validated (locked).

When using CATS to enter time, Attendances and Absences can be entered when payroll is validated but the entries are not taken into account unless payroll is put into "Correction" mode and program RCATSTAL is executed to transfer these entries from CATS to IT2001 and IT2002.

I've never worked with ESS, but you should look if there is a similar process.  If so, the program the Manager uses could generate data in a Batch Input File and the Payroll Supervisor could then execute (through sm35) when Payroll is put into "Correction".

Dear All,

 

We are created a standard dso on top of generic data source. This data source is created on top CDHDR and CDPOS tables through function module.

 

While acting the DSO , We are getting a sid generation error.

 

Please let me know the process to resolve the issue or tell me any other alternative solution is available to overcome this situation.

Hi Georges.

 

If you want toidentifythe last changemade ​​ona specific propertyhere are the steps.

This examples has been made with a physical model. You can do the same thing with Logical Model

 

Create MetaClass Table

Create an Event Handler Initialize

 

 

Create a Validate Handler

 

 

Create Extended Attributes : Date, Old Comment and Time

Create Form with Attributes : Date and Time

The result : each time the comment field is modified the date and time fields are set.

 

You can see live the date and time fields modification. If you modify the comment field you can see the new date and time.

 

If you press Apply or OK button the date and time are saved. If you press Cancel button the date and time are not saved.

 

If you modify others fields the date and time are not modified.

 

 

Note : If you want tobe moresophisticatedyou couldalso savethe old dateand time.So ifthe personadds a word tofieldcommentandclearsbefore saving.You couldtellthat therewas noreal changeon the way backwith the old date and time. To do add an 'else' in validate event handler

and replace Validate script by this one.

 

 

In this example only BENOIT (Windows user) can modify comment field description. All others users has not right to do modification. In factif the user tries toedit the fieldIdoes not allow to save it.

 

A) As I say you can't get PD username or group permission. See my answer on Aug 24, 2014 12:11 PM

Hi everyone,

 

I'm having difficulties finding the exact MM-Schedule agreement number by just knowing the WBS-Element, the material number and the SD-Schedule number. I can't use the table EKKN,because on this table the SD-Document column of the MM-document i'm looking for is empty. All I have is the WBS Element column. Yet, as you can guess, when I use the WBS-Element to find the MM-document, I'am getting a lot of results from this table.

 

Do you know any specific tables that can serve my purpose ?
