No data retrieved for KRI instance
Hi gurus,
I am trying to perform the Risk Indicator Survey and when filling in the information of the KRI with the Survey, I check the SLG1 transaction and I can see that there is an error message that indicates "No data retrieved for KRI instace".
Any idea of what can be happening?

Hi Ajay,
The KBA basically says what Andrew Mentioned above. Make sure that the same login that starts the backup serrver and ASE server was hte one to create this directory(esplib). Also you would need to shutdown and restart your backupserver

Actually, his requirement was more around 'rapid deployment templates' by 'industry solution' (e.g. CPG, Oil & Gas, Retail, Manufacturing etc) containing SAP best practices (i.e. KPIs)..
however, not only UI stuff, but all the way down to plug-and-play content for Stories, Models, CDS Views etc etc

Hi,
As far as I know end users cannot change tile names. Tile names can only be changed from the Launchpad Designer.
As part of personalization users can only create Groups on the launchpad and add tiles from the Tile Catalog within the groups. Also if the Group allows personalization then users can change the tile sequence/remove tiles from the specific group.

IE 11 Freezing
Has anyone experienced Internet Explorer freezing issues when working in ByD and then opening a help document? This is what it generally looks like for me...
1. I'll open ByD and be researching an issue or testing out a process
2. After a period of time I'll search for and open documentation from the Help Center
3. Shortly after opening the a Help document both browser windows will become frozen, the responsiveness of the main ByD window seems to quickly degrade before completely freezing (e.g., clicking on work center changes focus but doesn't change view)
4. Ultimately my only option is to close the windows and restart ByD
I've worked SAP Support on this, but haven't been able to pinpoint a root cause and/or fix so was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
I'm accessing ByD from a Windows 7 machine with IE 11 and Silverlight 5.1.41212.0.

Use Single Notification to request work for multiple pieces of equipment
Is it possible to utilize a single notification to request work for multiple pieces of equipment? We run into situations where PM work is done, primarily routine inspections, and through this inspection it may be found that several pieces of equipment associated to the inspection require work. For example, we may inspect a tank battery on an annual basis and it is found that 3 of the 6 tanks require additional work. We would like the ability to be able to use a single notification to request work for all 3 tanks and thus the associated work order (if possible to also utilize 1 work order) to do the same. If not what is the suggested best way to handle a situation such as this?

SAP Cloud SDK : Consume C4C OData within C4C and Read Data from Report
Hi Experts,
My requirement to consume C4C odata within C4C and using below blog read report data and key figures for specific report.
OData for SAP Business ByDesign Analytics
I can able to read data for Standard Report Report Name: RPCODCUSTOMER_Q0001.
But response coming into XML string format.
Anyone have idea how to use and read specific element from XML string and store into custom BO.

You could check the 'XPI Adapter : XI' values in Java System Properties for
'xiadapter.inbound.timeout.default' default is 180000 ms
and modify it to 300000 ms

Is the Portal behind a load balancer? Um, not sure exactly what you're asking, but it's not behind a web dispatcher. We have an alias URL which directs traffic via reverse-proxy to the Portal.
Interesting on the ssl/http. The alias portal.mycompany.com forces a switch to https, and directs traffic to the portal. The portal is only operating http.
The parameter you offered is appreciated, but I'm not using a web dispatcher. Don't understand the part where you said "or set a header field named ClientProtocol for reverse proxy like Apache." Can you elaborate?
By the way - our IdP (I stated WebSphere above - that was incorrect) is Shibboleth.

In my understanding this issue with load balancing through Direct Access is only because of SMLG return IPv4 address to SAPGUI. Settings not allow to add FQDN in SMLG settings 
.
I know with SAProuter is this working, but for 2000 users this is just additional point of fail without real HA or load balancing...

From the UI design perspective it makes no sense whatsoever to put this information below the buttons. The user needs to read it before clicking the buttons, so it needs to be above them, not below. In English the text is read from top down, so UI needs to follow the natural eye movements.
Just remove "Still do you want..." part and replace it with "If you click Yes .... If you click No...", etc. Make sure to use proper grammar and punctuation (e.g. it looks like you have a comma there instead of a dot). You might want to add "Cancel" button too since it looks like both Yes and No do something.

You can record an HttpWatch trace or a Fiddler trace - probably you will find missing MIMEs (HTTP error codes 40x).
For me, it looks like an issue from the note - again, even though the description is not exactly what you see. The MIMEs are not located in the mime repository!

Hi Nina,
After having the same problem and doing all the recommended actions in OKEON KSH3 eg ambiguity, test, check, master data etc I could not fix.
I found SAP NOTE 545453 which advises to run program in se38
K_REMOVE_DOUBLES_FROM_STD_HIER
I did this and it removed my duplicate groups and doing the ambiguity checks again passed.
This program solved my issue in live system.
